Before starting treatment as an independent patient, we will assess your orthodontic needs and discuss available options, including an x-ray to evaluate your growth and development.
After fitting your braces, you’ll need regular checkups to monitor progress, during which we may tighten your braces. This process is not painful, but it can cause some discomfort, so having over-the-counter pain relief may be helpful.
Once your teeth are in their new position and your braces are removed, we’ll provide a removable retainer to maintain your straight smile. Initially, you should wear the retainer day and night, transitioning to night wear after a short period. We will provide detailed instructions during your appointment.
Financing Your Treatment
As an independent patient, we can offer your treatment at a reduced cost. This option is for patients who do not qualify for NHS funding, or who do not wish to wait on the NHS waiting list.
We have payment plans available to help ensure the cost of treatment is affordable, which we can discuss with you at your initial consultation. The treatment plan is for upper and lower fixed silver orthodontic appliances, fitted and maintained during NHS sessions. The fee for this treatment is £3000. Payment can be made by cheque, cash, debit card or credit card.
Please note that if you lose or break your brace, you may incur additional charges, which could prolong your treatment. Therefore, it is important to look after your appliance and follow your orthodontist’s treatment instructions.
