You’ll get reminders on your scheduled scan days, but if you forget, just complete it as soon as you can. Missing a single scan or week is usually not a problem, but regular missed scans reduce our ability to monitor your progress properly, and we may check in with you if we don’t receive updates. If you’re wearing aligners and miss a scan but everything feels fine, keep wearing your current aligner until you’ve scanned and received further instructions from us. To stay on track, it helps to set a weekly reminder (for example, the same day each week). If you’re going away or expect limited internet access, let us know so we can guide you in advance.
What happens if the app detects a problem during my treatment?

Dental Monitoring is designed specifically to track your orthodontic treatment (braces or aligners), not to replace routine dental check-ups. It works by analysing images of your teeth to monitor alignment and treatment progress. You should still see your general dentist every 6 months for examinations and cleanings, as Dental Monitoring cannot detect issues like cavities. While we can pick up signs of gum inflammation or plaque during your scans and advise you accordingly, your dentist remains responsible for your overall oral health.
